Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • ½ lb raw shrimp peeled, deveined, and chopped
  • 8 oz lump crab meat fresh or canned, drained
  • 2 cups fresh spinach chopped
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Red pepper flakes optional, for heat

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet. Cook shrimp until pink, about 2–3 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté garlic and spinach until wilted.
  4. In a large bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, mozzarella, Parmesan, ½ cup cheddar, paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper until creamy.
  5. Fold in cooked shrimp, crab meat, and spinach mixture.
  6. Transfer mixture to baking dish. Top with remaining cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, until hot and bubbly with a golden top.
  8. Serve warm with tortilla chips, baguette slices, or crackers.

Notes

Use pre-cooked shrimp to save time, but fresh shrimp gives the best flavor.
Substitute spinach with kale for a heartier dip.
Make it spicy with diced jalapeños or extra chili flakes.
Can be assembled ahead, refrigerated, and baked before serving.
