Cook beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat if needed and set aside.
Sauté aromatics: In the same skillet, heat olive oil or butter. Add onion and garlic; cook until softened, about 2–3 minutes.
Add cabbage: Stir in chopped cabbage, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper. Cook for 5–6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cabbage begins to soften.
Combine: Return cooked beef to the skillet. Add a splash of beef broth or water if the mixture seems dry. Cook another 5 minutes until everything is heated through and cabbage is tender.
Serve: Garnish with parsley or shredded cheese, if desired.
